The Marine Shaft Seal are widely used in marine shaft systems. The propeller shaft in marine has more axial and radial run outs. These seals has diaphragm rubber bellow design, hence eliminating the need of springs. The seals possess less metallic parts thus serving through longer service life. Metal parts are vulnerable to sea water, the marine shaft seals HS32 has minimum metal parts and therefore less corrosion with having longer seal life. These seals automatically compensate for face wear, and unlike gland packing, do not require any adjustment. The marine shaft seals rotates with the help of propeller shaft, and cannot cause any wear on the shaft surface. Though these seals require less maintenance but are regularly inspected with other hull fittings that are fitted below the waterline. The seals are available in semi cartridge version that supports easy change without dismantling the entire shaft assembly.
